Covid-19 situation in Manipur continues to improve, no death reported Saturday

However, a total of 17 persons were tested positive from the general population include 13 from Imphal East, 2 from Imphal West and 1 each from Kangpokpi and Churachandpur.

Imphal: Saturday also saw no deaths in Manipur while 17 persons (6 males, 11 females)) from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 17 persons who tested positive from the general population include 13 from Imphal East, 2 from Imphal West and 1 each from Kangpokpi and Churachandpur.

Meanwhile, 7 persons recovered and were discharged, 5 from Home Isolation and 1 each from Churachandpur and RD Wing.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,183 (General Population — 25,752 and Central Security Personnel — 3,431). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,744 (General Population — 25, 329 and Central Security Personnel — 3,415). The number of active cases is 66 (general population 54 and CAPF 12). The recovery rate is 98.49%.

Total number of those vaccinated Saturday is 2799 and the cumulative vaccination number is 22065.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 18825. This include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vac, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
