Covid-19: Nine more test positive Saturday in Manipur

Imphal: Nine persons from the general public tested Covid-19 positive while six persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Saturday. During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid related death, as per an official press note from the Covid-19 Common Control Room

The nine persons (3 males, 6 female) who tested positive include 4 from Imphal West, 3 from Imphal East, and 1 each from Kakching and Ukhrul. Meanwhile, all the six discharge Saturday were on home isolation.

The cumulative death remains at 374 while the recovery rate now stands at 98.52%

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,415 (General Population — 25,962 and Central Security Personnel — 3,446). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,981 (General Population — 25,548 and CAPF— 3,433). The number of active cases is 60 (general population 51 and CAPF 9).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 2, is 32 and the cumulative vaccination number is 86740, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 315625 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
