Congress MLA Ajit Sharma gets imprisonment in a case

The court on Wednesday found the accused guilty of obstructing polling during 2020 Assembly Elections and awarded the punishment. The court also slapped fine of Rs 1000 against the accused.

The court on Wednesday found the accused guilty of obstructing polling during 2020 Assembly Elections and awarded the punishment. The court also slapped fine of Rs 1000 against the accused.

It may be recalled that a case was registered at Eshachack police station area against six accused including Congress MLA from Bhagalpur Ajit Sharma on the basis of an application made by polling officers. The accused had disturbed polling at various polling booths under Eshachack police station area during 2020 assembly elections in Bhagalpur.
