Washington: Amid a surge of Covid-19 cases, CNN has directed its non-essential employees to work from home, network president Jeff Zucker said in a memo.

“If your job does not require you to be in the office in order to do it, please work from elsewhere,” Zucker said in the memo issued on Saturday.

The Wall Street Journal quoted the president as saying that the network will be making several changes to studios and control rooms to “minimize the number of people in our spaces.”

The network will be using ‘flash studios’.

Earlier this year, Zucker had required Covid-19 vaccination as a “zero-tolerance policy”. The network had even fired its three employees who came to work without getting vaccinated.
