Imphal: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today flagged off a bike rally from Kangla Western Gate in Imphal West, on the occasion of the 37th Loktak Day Celebration, 2026.
The bike rally was organised by the Loktak Development Authority (LDA), Government of Manipur.
Around 200 bikers participated in the rally, carrying banners and messages to create public awareness about the importance of conserving Loktak Lake and protecting its unique ecosystem.
The bike rally underlined the importance of public participation in conserving Loktak Lake, one of Manipur’s most precious natural assets and in promoting responsible tourism and environmental protection.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by MLA of Thanga AC T. Robindro Singh, officials among others.
