CM Khemchand visits family of late Chongtham Vikram

The Chief Minister assured the bereaved family that justice would be delivered and the culprits brought to justice.

Imphal:  Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today visited the residence of late Chongtham Vikram at Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai, Imphal West.

While speaking to the family members of the deceased, the Chief Minister assured them that justice would be delivered and that the culprits would be brought to justice for the crime committed.

Khemchand Singh expressed profound sorrow over the incident, which claimed the life of an innocent person who had done no wrong.

The Chief Minister personally met and talked to the deceased’s parents, wife and son and assured the bereaved family of extending all possible assistance and support.

It may be mentioned that Chongtham Vikram, a respected musician and music teacher from Manipur, died following a brutal assault at his residence in Kilokri, New Delhi. He is survived by his wife and son.

During the visit Member of Legislative Assembly, Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency Khumukcham Joykisan Singh, was also present.
