Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh laid the foundation stone for construction of a 50 bedded Prefabricated Field Hospital at Longmai Part – I, Noney district on his visit to the District Tuesday. The hospital will be set up under the State Health Society, National Health Mission, Government of Manipur with an estimated cost of Rs. 3.5 Crore.

The Chief Minister informed the State Government had also made sanction for construction of another three hospitals of such kind at Kamjong, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal District and added that construction work for the same would be started very soon.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Works Minister Thongam Biswajit, Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen, Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister Vungzagin Valte, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha Leishemba Sanajaoba and Advisor to Chief Minister Paonam Brojen during his visit.
