Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated BABINA Hospital at Sajiwa Jail Road, Khabeisoi, Imphal East. During the event, CM Biren Singh highlighted Manipur’s leading role in North-East India in providing top-notch medical facilities.
He announced several upcoming projects aimed at boosting tourism and infrastructure, including a Rs. 126 crore project around Loktak Lake, a Rs. 600 crore Lamphelpat Rejuvenation Project, and a Rs. 36 crore beautification project for Waithou’s water bodies. Additionally, a cable car system will be introduced at Ibudhou Marjing Hill, a first for the state. Greater Imphal will see the construction of concrete roads with a funding of approximately Rs. 3500 crore.
CM Biren Singh emphasized the BJP-led government’s various health initiatives like CHMT and CM Health for All, which have greatly benefited the state’s needy and poor populations.
He also mentioned the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, under which around 6061 inmates have received skill training, with approximately 2500 in the process of job placement. Furthermore, banks will provide around Rs. 700 crore to the state’s MSMEs under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
The Chief Minister lauded the Babina Group for their humanitarian efforts and job creation. Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Minister of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, and IPR, acknowledged private players for bridging the gap in health crisis management, especially during COVID-19. He also highlighted the importance of CMHT, an initiative by the Chief Minister to aid the state’s needy.
