Churachandpur: The State Level Launching Programme on “IT enabled convergence of health-nutrition-education” was observed here under the Churachandpur District Administration at GNM Training School Campus, Churachandpur. The state-level programme held at City Convention Centre was also telecasted at the venue.
DC Churachandpur Pawan Yadav, IAS, speaking on the occasion informed that four departments converged together for this programme, with CMO taking responsibility of health, ZEO that of education, DPS ICDS of nutrition and IT Department taking care of network connections by. Pawan raised concerns at some school-going children not possessing tablets or smartphones.
The DC also cited that Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers are given smartphones as attendance is done through GPS; he requested them to be present in all the Anganwadi and Health Centers to work for the society at large. Further, saying that Tablets are also being distributed to students to take help of e-classes and various lectures online and more importantly in this Covid situation, he expressed confidence that this platform will certainly help in accessing various online lectures and e-classes to the students.
Saying that there can be positive and negative aspects, he encouraged the students to properly utilize it for studies other than playing games or watching movies.
Distribution of Tablets under SSA to five Students each covering 7 Schools, 20 smartphones each provided under 7 ICDS Projects to Anganwadi Workers and distribution of Smartphones for Asha Workers marked the programme.
The programme was attended by MCS ADC-I, Yumnam Nelson; Chief Medical Officer Churachandpur, Dr. Vumchinpau Tonsing; ZEO Churachandpur, Chingkhei Singh and DPO ICDS/Churachandpur Sapam Medani Devi.
