Churachandpur: District Administration Churachandpur celebrated 4 Years of Citizen-Centric Governance at Tuibong Peace Ground Auditorium, Churachandpur. Ten Solar Reading Lanterns each provided by MANIREDA were distributed to students. At the same time, Solar Lanterns were distributed to the students at the Sub-Divisional Headquarters.
Speaking as the Chief Guest of the programme, DC, Churachandpur, Pawan Yadav, stated that with large participation all over the district, the programme had started from March 10 and culminated with Monday’s function. Highlighting the governments’ achievements in the last four years, the DC said a lot of innovative schemes had been designed such as CMHT.
Recently, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadh iPariyojana (PMBJP) was launched in the border area of Behiang demonstrating better Hospital management software with patient history apart from printing a slip and the generic medicine at low cost under PMBJP helping the people of the border area in a great way, added the DC.
The DC maintained that under the School Fagathansi Mission, 2348 registered in the month of November 2019 in 41 different schools. Solar Street Lights were installed at various locations in Churachandpur District ranging from the Sub-Divisional Headquarters, Police Stations, PHCs and District Hospital, he added.
The DC observed that the 143 km long NH 102B work had already started with very fair progress and the district had submitted more than 40 works which are ready for inaugurations with 2 works under PMGSY, 6 works under BADP, 4 Health & Wellness Centers, 3 works under PMJVK and 20 Works under PWD already saturated underJalJeevan Mission in the case of 20 Villages.
SP Churachandpur, Amrita Sinha speaking on the occasion highlighted briefly some infrastructural assets of the district police in the past four years’ time. She mentioned the opening of Community Policing Centre at New Bazar on March 2, 2019, inauguration of Behiang Police Station (which is a symbol of taking policing to the remote border villages) and the inauguration of Police Guest House on January 4, 2021.
Touching on some of the achievements of the district police, she mentioned the rescue of a minor victim from Noida, rescue of two kidnapped labourers and rescue of a kidnapped victim from the state of Rajasthan under the able leadership of the CM and DGP. The SP also talked about the recent seizure of 590 grams heroin, busting of brown sugar factory, destruction of illicit opium cultivation with the help of the District Administration, NCB, NAB, IRB & Assam Rifle; seizure of arms & ammunition and multiple drives against liquor.
Esther Serto, IFS, DFO Churachandpur stated that the present Government is a citizen-centric government and that the Go to Village programme is a testimony of it. She also made special mention of the government’s focus on Girl Child.
Thangboi Gangte, ADC-I, Lunkhomang Khongsai, CO, 1st IRB, S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, ADC II, DLOs and officials from different line departments under the district administration were among those who participated in the programme.
