Churachandpur: Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur, Pawan Yadav along with officials concerned officials Saturday inspected National Highway 102B from zero point ie, Ccpur Police Station till Singngat to assess the ground situation resulting in the suspension of the construction work.
The inspection was done to expedite the resumption of the highway construction under Packages 1A and 1 B.
It may be mentioned here that the construction work was halted on April 4 last following a protest by affected chiefs and CSOs alleging non-payment of supplementary compensation for standing properties.
With the on-spot assessment today, the issue is likely to be settled soon and construction work is expected to resume sooner.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC (Dev) Khaikhopau Ngaihte and officials from the PWD and NHIDCL.
