Chief Minister Tamang greets people on Tendong Lho Rum Faat

The festival is one of the most significant and indigenous festivals of the Lepcha community. They consider the festival as a solemn occasion to pay respect and give back to Mother Earth.

Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat, being celebrated by the Lepcha community on Sunday.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that the auspicious occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat symbolises the tradition of living in harmony with Mother Earth. He has also appealed to the people of Sikkim to preserve, protect and celebrate Mother Nature in all its varied forms and keep the faith alive in our deities for protection from all adversities and hardships.
