Chetan Sharma resigns as chief selector

A communique from the BCCI in this regard is expected, but there is no information on the replacement for Sharma. However, the name of East Zone selector Shiv Sundar Das is making rounds as Sharma's replacement.

Mumbai: Chetan Sharma has resigned as the chief selector of the Indian team following a sting operation by a news channel wherein he made shocking revelations including Virat Kohli’s bigger-than-the-game conduct and Indian players enhancing fitness by taking injections.

A communique from the BCCI in this regard is expected, but there is no information on the replacement for Sharma. However, the name of East Zone selector Shiv Sundar Das is making rounds as Sharma’s replacement.

According to BCCI sources, the beleaguered chairman sent in his resignation to the BCCI which was accepted.
