Charminar Express derailment at Nampally Railway Station leaves 10 with minor injuries

According to railway sources, the train, en route from Chennai to Hyderabad, derailed after colliding with the side wall of the fifth platform while gradually approaching Nampally station for a scheduled stop. Three coaches of the train were involved in the derailment.

Hyderabad: Approximately 10 individuals sustained minor injuries on Wednesday as the Charminar Express (Train No. 12760) derailed at Nampally Railway Station.

According to railway sources, the train, en route from Chennai to Hyderabad, derailed after colliding with the side wall of the fifth platform while gradually approaching Nampally station for a scheduled stop. Three coaches of the train were involved in the derailment.

Railway officials transferred the injured passengers to the Lalaguda Railway Hospital in Secunderabad for necessary medical treatment.

Passengers experienced a moment of panic as the train veered off the tracks just seconds before reaching the station platform.

Further investigation is underway, the sources added.
