Channi denies security breach in PM’s security in Punjab

The Chief Minister said it was the last-minute decision of the Prime Minister to travel by road from Bathinda to Ferozepur.

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday refuted the allegations that there was a breach in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security in Punjab.

The Chief Minister said it was the last-minute decision of the Prime Minister to travel by road from Bathinda to Ferozepur. 

He said, “Initially, he was to travel by air, but the travel plan changed”. 

BJP was blaming the Punjab government for political reasons.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the state government to fix responsibility after Prime Minister Modi’s Punjab rally was cancelled.
