CEO Manipur visits RIMS & JNIMS, interacts with injured security personnel

Imphal: Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, Rajesh Agrawal today visited Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Lamphelpat and enquired about the health condition of 10 security personnel of 2nd Indian Reserve Battalion, who were injured in an unfortunate accident occurred at Tamenglong and admitted to RIMS, Imphal on March 2, 2022.

Rajesh Agrawal advised Director, RIMS – Prof. A. Santa Singh to take good care of the injured personnel, so that they get recovered soon.  He also interacted with the bed ridden security personnel and wished them for speedy recovery.

Later, Rajesh Agrawal also visited Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) to see the health condition of another injured CRPF personnel of 340 BN, A-119 Coy who got his leg fractured due to a fall on 2nd March, 2022 at around 9.30 p.m. at Tamenglong. Helicopter services were utilized effectively by Rapid Response Teams (RRT) of Medical Department under the supervision of State Nodal Officer (Health) Tomcha Khuman for timely airlifting of casualties in both the cases to medical facilities in Imphal.

During the visit, the Chief Electoral Officer was accompanied by Additional CEO Naorem Praveen Singh, OSD (Election), Ganesh Nagarajan, SNO (Health) Tomcha Khuman and RRT officials. The Chief Electoral Officer also appreciated the SNO (Health) and his Rapid Response Teams for their swift action which enable timely and efficient medical intervention to the injured personnel and further advised all concerned officials to be ready for any such eventualities in the next phase of poll.
