Imphal: In a series of operations, Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps in coordination with Manipur Police and CRPF, apprehended two cadres, recovered five weapons, ammunition, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and war like stores in hill and valley districts.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of cadres in the general area of New Keithelmanbi T Junction and Patsoi in Imphal West district, the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on February 22, 2025. The operation resulted in the apprehension of two individuals who, upon initial questioning, accepted that they were from UNLF (K).Â
Based on specific inputs from reliable sources, Indian Army in coordination with CRPF and Manipur Police launched an operation in the general area Langza in Churachandpur district and recovered one.303 rifle, one Single Barrel rifle, two country made Single Barrel rifles, one 81mm mortar (country made), three IEDs ammunition and war like stores.
The apprehended cadres and the recovered items were handed over to Manipur Police, according to a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
