Thoubal: The District Administration along with District Health Society, Thoubal organised a Block Health Mela Wednesday at Lilong Primary Health center. The health Mela is being organised as part of first 100 days action plan and commemoration of 75 years of India’s Independence.
Thoubal Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, Hasina Begum; CMO Thoubal, Dr.Y Nokul Singh and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Th Memcha; were the dais members of the program.
As part of mela about 20 stalls including NYK and ICDS were opened for the public. During the Mela awareness were given to the public about various health programs and prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases .Facilities like testing, distribution of medicine were also done at the site of mela.CMHT and Ayushman card were also distributed as part of Block Health mela.
ASHAs and Anganwadi workers among others also attended the health Mela.
As part of the programme, District Food safety Officer Thoubal deployed mobile Food Testing Vans, set up stall for generating awareness on “Eat Right Movement” in India. The department also deputed staff for demonstrations of food safety testing and educate people about eat right campaign. Promoting concept and certification of Hospitals, school and industries as eat right campaign was also included during the Health Mela.
