Imphal: With a total fish production of 28,380 kg, Dinamani Singh of Tentha Village Thoubal won the 1st prize of the Fish Fair cum Fish Crop Competition, 2022 organised by the Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Manipur. He was sponsored by the District Fishery Officer (DFO), Thoubal.
The 2nd prize went to Ningthem Ningomba of Sabungkhok, Imphal East who produced 22,380 kg of fish. He was sponsored by DFO, Imphal East. The 3rd prize in the category of individual fish production went to Salam Unil Shanta Singh of Khordak, Bishnupur who produced 20,332 kg of fish. Shanta Singh was sponsored by DFO, Imphal West.
The prize for the highest indigenous fish production went to K Nabachandra Singh of Wangoi Imphal West with a total production of 5,880 kg.
The highest production officer for valley areas went to K Bineshwor, DFO Bishnupur with a total fish production of 35,362 kg while for the hill region it went to E Rameshwor, DFO Churachandpur.
