Gangtok: The United forum of Bank Unions has called a nationwide strike against privatization public sector banks, starting Monday.
The posters outside banks claimed that ten lakh bank officers and employees are participating in the strike on March 15 and 16.
The people in Sikkim were not able to access banking services on Saturday and Sunday due to weekly holidays.
Since the strike started today, the banks remained closed today and will be shutdown on Tuesday.
