Hamirpur (HP): Green coloured balloons with imprints of the Pakistan flag and slogans were found in the Gagal and Shani Dev temple area of Lambloo area of the Hamirpur district, Paploya village of Jhanduta area of Bilaspur and Chauntra panchayat of Mandi district on Sunday morning.
Police have taken custody of the balloons and further investigation is on to gain clues about the incident, said a spokesman of the state government.
He said that some mobile/telephone numbers have been written on the balloons. Something in Urdu has also been printed on the balloons, he added.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed in these districts over the finding of the balloons. Security agencies have been asked to locate the origin of the balloons and how they have entered the state of Himachal Pradesh.
It’s worth mentioning here that a Khalistan outfit had warned the state Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur, and others not to hoist the national flag on Independence Day but the functions were held in a well-attended manner without any incidents of violence.
It seemed that the finding of the balloons might be the handiwork of any anti-India related outfit trying to create chaos in the state for no reason.
