Guwahati: Assam government has suspended two senior government officials for improper planning, mismanagement of job fairs held in various districts on December 23, 2021.
“As per the direction of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, T. Doungel, Joint Director, Employment and Lipika Datta, Assistant Director of Employment, District Employment Exchange, Guwahati have been placed under suspension for improper planning, mismanagement and gross negligence of duty,” an official statement said.
On Thursday, a large number of unemployed youths came to the job fairs hosted by the district employment exchange at various places.
Many of the job hopefuls came to the job fair expecting a government job they were disappointed as all the private companies turned up for the job fair.
