Assam Rifles provides medical aid to accident victims

Imphal: Sajik Tampak battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) rescued 24 passengers including three children and extended lifesaving medical assistance to road accident victims near Old Bethel Village, District Chandel on November 12.

At around 4.30 pm on Nov 12, a Bolero Pick Up vehicle with 24 passengers, including three children lost control, while reversing near a steep slope and plunged into the gorge.

On receipt of information, a team of Assam Rifles rushed to the spot, launched a rescue operation, and successfully rescued all trapped passengers.

The accident victims were then rushed to the Assam Rifles Company Operational Base at Aigejang and were rendered emergency medical aid to stabilise the injured. On stabilising the condition of injured, they were evacuated to Sugnu Hospital for further medical treatment, as per a press release from PRO IGAR(S)..
