Chandel: Reaffirming its dedicated commitment to community welfare and humanitarian service, Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive medical outreach camp at Longja Football Ground in Sajik Tampak, Chandel district, Manipur, on 26 October 2026. Conducted between 0900 hours and 1330 hours, the initiative aimed to bridge healthcare gaps and improve accessibility to primary medical services for underprivileged populations residing in remote border villages, where access to essential clinical assistance remains a constant challenge.
The medical camp provided vital consultations, health check-ups and necessary medicines free of cost to a total of 115 beneficiaries. Demonstrating dedicated care across age groups, the medical team treated 58 males, 28 females and 29 children from the surrounding villages of Longja, Hakia, S Molnom and Kananphai. The Chief Medical Officer and Resident Medical Officer of Assam Rifles personally attended to the local residents, evaluating health conditions and spreading awareness on vital wellness practices.
Beyond delivering immediate healthcare assistance, the event underscored Assam Rifles’ ongoing endeavour to foster health awareness and improve overall well-being across vulnerable frontier regions. By continuously extending essential humanitarian support to remote communities, Assam Rifles reinforces its enduring partnership with the people of Manipur, building deep-seated trust and strengthening the bond between the force and local residents.
