Tengnoupal: As part of its continuous people-centric welfare and outreach initiatives across remote border areas, Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive medical camp at T Minou Village in Tengnoupal District on 03 October 2026. The welfare initiative was undertaken to facilitate access to essential healthcare services, promote preventive health awareness and extend medical assistance to underserved local communities directly in their locality at no cost.
A total of 78 local residents attended the camp and availed free healthcare services. Qualified medical personnel conducted basic health screenings and clinical consultations while providing necessary healthcare guidance based on individual beneficiary requirements. Alongside medical consultations, attendees were sensitised on essential preventive healthcare measures, with special emphasis on maintaining personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices. The medical team also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and seeking timely healthcare intervention to prevent future complications.
The interactive event facilitated a better understanding of regional healthcare requirements while reinforcing the value of wellness at individual and community levels. By encouraging local residents to adopt healthy habits and make optimum use of available medical facilities, the camp reinforced the importance of proactive care. This outreach programme reflects the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles towards community well-being, effectively bridging healthcare gaps in remote regions and strengthening mutual trust with the local population.
