Kangpokpi: In continuation of its sustained efforts towards maintaining peace, stability and confidence among the local population during the ongoing situation in Manipur, Assam Rifles conducted a Security Conference at Kangpokpi. The primary objective of the conference was to provide a forum for open interaction and understand the core concerns of the local population.
The conference witnessed the participation of 10 villagers, including village elders and community representatives, who shared various issues and concerns affecting their village. Assam Rifles personnel patiently listened to the grievances, assuring the villagers of continued support, protection and assistance to safeguard the lives and interests of all communities.
Crucially, the participants were advised to remain vigilant against misinformation and propaganda circulated through unverified sources. Assam Rifles urged the villagers to verify information through authentic channels to prevent misunderstandings and maintain communal harmony. Demonstrating the impact of this reach-out, the villagers reaffirmed their complete trust in the force and assured their cooperation.
