Ranchi: After the recovery of a huge amount of cash from three Jharkhand Congress MLAs in West Bengal and their subsequent arrest, a round of accusations and counter-accusations have started in the politics of the state.
While BJP leaders have accused Congress of being involved in corruption. At the same time, Congress has also talked about the BJP trying to topple the coalition government of Jharkhand.
According to Congress leaders, BJP wants to do the same thing in Jharkhand as it has done in Maharashtra.
After the three MLAs were arrested in the Howrah district of West Bengal, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted on Saturday, “BJP’s ‘Operation Kamal’ in Jharkhand exposed in Howrah. Delhi’s ‘Hum Do’ plans to do in Jharkhand what they did in Maharashtra with the help of E-D (Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis).”
JPCC president Rajesh Thakur told the media that everyone saw how the state of Assam has become the focal point of toppling the government these days.
There was drama for 15 days in the past and finally, the Maharashtra government was toppled. This indicates that there is a conspiracy to destabilize the Jharkhand government. The situation and everything will become more clear in the coming days.
He said that for the last several years, the practice of disturbing the democratic government of the elected non-BJP ruled states have increased in the country.
He said that BJP is constantly conspiring to topple the government and Assam remains the focal point. He said that as far as the arrest of Congress MLAs, they will fully tell from where they got such a huge amount.
The leader of the legislature wing of the Congress party Aalamgir Aalam blamed the BJP for these undemocratic acts. He demanded that action should be taken on those who took the money and those who gave the money to the legislators.
Bengal Police had stopped three Jharkhand Congress MLAs in the Howrah district of West Bengal on Saturday night and their vehicle was searched during which a lot of cash was recovered from their vehicle.
The vehicle in which MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixal Kongadi were travelling was stopped on National Highway-16 in Ranihati under the Panchla police station area on Saturday and a huge amount was found in the vehicle.
Irfan Ansari is MLA from Jamtara, Rajesh Kachhap Khijri and Naman Vixal Kongadi is MLA from Kolebira.
Post the incident the trio have been suspended from the Congress party.
