Assam: GMC polls to be held on April 19

As per the latest data, the total number of voters is 6,98,829 while there are 69 polling stations. The voting will take place through electronic voting machines (EVM).

Guwahati: The polls for the 60 wards of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) will be held on April 19, the State Election Commission said on Wednesday.

The counting of votes will be held on May 21. Of the 60 seats, 50 percent of seats will be reserved for women.

The last day of filing of nomination and scrutiny of papers will be April 1, whereas April 4 is the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers.
