Assam delegation meets President

New Delhi: A delegation from Assam led by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Pramod Boro on Tuesday met President Ram Nath Kovind here and invited the latter to attend the ‘Bodo Sahitya Sabha’ programme scheduled to be held next month.

“We met President Ram Nath Kovind and invited him to 61st annual conference of ‘Bodo Sahitya Sabha’ which will be held from March 9 to 11 in Tamulpur district of Assam. We have requested the President to attend the programme as chief guest,” Boro told reporters, shortly after meeting the President.

“We will be very happy to receive the President if he comes to Bodoland region,” Boro added.

Top office bearer of Bodo Sahitya Sabha was among the part of the delegation.
