As Covid cases surge, Delhi govt orders closure of all schools for all classes

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced the closure of all schools in the national capital for all classes till further orders amid a significant spike in coronavirus cases.

‘Due to rising Covid cases, all schools in Delhi [both government & private] are being closed for all classes till further orders,’ Kejiwal wrote in Hindi on his official Twitter account.

Except for IX to XII, all other classes remain suspended in schools of the national capital for more than a year.

The national capital on Thursday saw 7,437 covid cases and 24 deaths. Active cases stand at 23,181.
