Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Covid19 case tally mounted to 64,402 as 16 more people have tested positive for the virus during the past 24 hours, while 59 fresh recoveries pushed the total number of recovered cases to 63,928, a senior health official said on Saturday.
With this, the Northeastern state’s active caseload has further dropped down to 178. Further, with no cases of casualty reported in the period the state’s death toll remained unchanged at 296, he said.
Of the new infections, Lower Subansiri accounted for the highest four cases, followed by Itanagar Capital Complex and Upper Siang at three each, while Lohit registered two cases and one each reported in Anjaw, East Siang, Tawang and West Kameng.Seven of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and nine symptomatic.
The state had tested just 399 samples for Covid19 that took its cumulative count to 12,62,930. The day’s positivity rate was 4.01 percent, which stood at 3.3 percent the previous day.
On the other hand, the state’s cumulative Covid19 vaccination crossed the 16.35 lakh mark as 1293 people have received Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the official said.
