Arunachal’s active COVID-19 caseload rises to 45

Itanagar: The active COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh increased to 45 as two more individuals have tested positive for the infection while one recuperated from the ailment during the past 24 hours, a senior health department official said.

With the addition of the fresh two cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 55,222. The new cases were reported from Namsai and Tawang.

On the contrary, with the lone cured case, the total number of recovered cases rose to 54,897. The state’s recovery rate stands at 99.41 per cent and the case fatality rate at 0.51 per cent, the official said.

The State has registered 280 COVID-19 deaths till now. On the inoculation front, Arunachal Pradesh administered more than 5,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to its eligible citizens during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative vaccination coverage to over 13.62 lakh, he said.
