Arunachal’s active Covid-19 caseload increases to 21

The state’s tally of confirmed cases has now risen to 55,339.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s active Covid-19 caseload mounted to 21 after three more individuals tested positive for the infection during the past 24 hours, a senior state health department official said on Friday.

Of the three fresh cases that turned out to be asymptomatic, two were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex. The other person was from the West Kameng district. The state’s tally of confirmed cases has now risen to 55,339.

One person was discharged during the period following recovery from the disease, upping the total number of recovered cases in the state to 55,038, the official said.

The state’s Covid-19 recovery rate at the moment stands at 99.46 per cent, while the overall case positivity rate is 0.04 per cent and the fatality rate 0.50 per cent. So far, 280 persons have died due to Covid-19 complications in the state.
