Arunachal reports 73 new Covid-19 cases, tally mounts to 17,186

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness a spike in Covid-19 cases with the detection of 73 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 17,186.

On the other hand, 16 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 16,851. Active cases stood at 279. Fifty-six fatalities recorded so far.

As per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of the new Covid-19 cases, the highest was reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) at 26, followed by Lower Dibang Valley 16 and West Kameng 14.

Eight cases were also reported from Papum Pare, three from East Siang, two each from Lohit and Changlang, one each from Namsai and Pakke Kessang, it said.

According to the bulletin, barring 26, all the patients are asymptomatic.
