Chandel: Chandel, 22nd September DIO: As part of the nationwide “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan”, Aangan Ka Utsav continue in Chandel district with the objective of strengthening community engagement and creating awareness on nutrition, health and child development through Anganwadi Centres.
As part of the programme, visits were undertaken to various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under Chakpikarong sub-division. SDO Chakpikarong Md. Tajuddin along with District Program Officer Md. Abul Hassan Shah, senior district officials and field functionaries, including CDPOs and Supervisors visited the Anganwadi Centres.
During the visits, the officials interacted with Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), ASHAs and local villagers and reviewed the activities being carried out at different centres.
The visiting officials emphasised the importance of proper nutrition, child care, maternal health and early childhood development. Awareness was also imparted to the community on the significance of nutritious food and healthy practices for the overall growth and well-being of children.
Under the action plan, different Anganwadi Centres under Chakpikarong sub-division including Y. Khutha, Anal Khunou, Novokom A, Akaphi, Hringphe, Khummungphe were visited and interacted by the officials.
