Arunachal reports 443 new Covid-19 cases; death toll mounts to 199

Itanagar: As many as 443 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 42,089, while the death toll rose to 199 as two more succumbed to the virus.

Of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 112, followed by Lohit 42 and Lower Subansiri 36, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Of these, 239 patients are asymptomatic and 204 symptomatic.

According to the bulletin, of the two deaths reported, one each was from Leparada and Lower Dibang Valley. The bodies were handed over to the family members as per Covid-19 SOP.

On a positive front, the recoveries tally rose to 37,628 as 356 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

Active cases tally stands at 4,262.
