Arunachal reports 404 Covid-19 cases; three more succumb

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally rose to 28,786 with detection of 404 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, while the death toll rose to 122 as three more succumbed to the virus.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new cases, Changlang reported the highest at 102, followed by Capital Complex 52 and Namsai 38.

Barring 145, all the patients are asymptomatic.

As per the bulletin, of the three fatalities reported included a minor. A 14-year-old girl died on Thursday at DCH, Chimpu here, and a 65-year-old woman expired on the same day at DCH, Pasighat in East Siang district. The third casualty was reported from Lower Siang, a 84-year-old man expired on Thursday at DCHC, Likabali.

On a positive note, 415 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 24,835. The recovery rate is over 86 per cent.

Active cases stood at 3,829.
