Arunachal reports 298 new Covid cases, 5 deaths

On a positive note, 380 patients have recovered, taking the total recoveries to 27,818. The recovery rate is over 89 percent.

Itanagar: As many as 298 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 31,148, while the death toll rose to 143 as five more succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 55, followed by Upper Subansiri 39 and West Kameng 29, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 117, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin, of the five casualties reported, one each was from Itanagar Capital Complex, Tawang, Changlang, Lower Siang and Lower Subansiri.

On a positive note, 380 patients have recovered, taking the total recoveries to 27,818. The recovery rate is over 89 percent.

Active cases stood at 3,187.
