Arunachal reports 266 new Covid cases; three succumb

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 55, followed by West Kameng 41 and Lohit 25, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Itanagar: As many as 266 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 34,480, while the death toll rose to 165 as three more succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 55, followed by West Kameng 41 and Lohit 25, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 81, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin, among the three deaths reported include a 47-year-old man from West Kameng who was referred from DCHC, Bomdila expired on Thursday at DCH, Chimpu here.

An 80-year-old man and a female of the same age from Papum Pare district passed away on Friday at DCH, Chimpu, it said.

On a positive note, 305 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 31,792. The recovery rate is over 92 per cent.

Active cases stood at 25,23.
