Arunachal records 21 new Covid cases

The day’s positivity rate was 10.5 percent against the previous day’s 4.44 percent.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday registered 21 fresh Covid19 positive cases taking its tally of confirmed cases to 66,571, a senior health official said.

Meanwhile, 26 patients have recuperated from the disease thereby pushing the total number of recoveries to 66,154. Following this, Arunachal’s active Covid19 caseload declined to 121, State Surveillance Officer-IDSP Dr Lobsang Jampa said.

Four of the new virus cases were detected in Itanagar Capital Complex, and three each came in Namsai, Upper Siang, and West Kameng. Changlang and East Siang reported two cases each, while one apiece came from Anjaw, Papum Pare, Dibang Valley, and Leparada. Fifteen of the total cases turned out to be symptomatic and six asymptomatic, he said.

The day’s positivity rate was 10.5 percent against the previous day’s 4.44 percent. Arunachal’s active caseload comprised 0.18 percent of the total infections, while the recovery rate stood at 99.37 percent. The state’s Covid toll remained unchanged at 296 with a death rate of 0.44 percent, Dr Jampa said.
