Arunachal Pradesh logs one fresh COVID-19 case, five recoveries

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh recorded one more fresh COVID-19 case during the past 24 hours, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 55,295, a senior health official said.

On the contrary, five persons have recuperated from the infection in the period that swelled the state’s total number of recovered cases to 54,984, State Surveillance Officer (IDSP) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.

A single new case was detected in Itanagar Capital Complex. The symptomatic case, confirmed through a rapid antigen test, was found at the Flu Clinic of RK Mission Hospital here.

The state tested just 250 samples for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking its cumulative count to 12,00,308. The state’s active caseload currently stands at 31, with 26 of them getting treatment under home isolation, Dr Jampa said.
