Arunachal logs 486 new Covid-19 cases; four fatalities

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 144, followed by Papum Pare 41 and Lower Subansiri 35, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Itanagar: As many as 486 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 44,708.

The death toll rose to 208 as four more patients succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 144, followed by Papum Pare 41 and Lower Subansiri 35, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 169, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin, of the four casualties, two were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, Namsai and West Siang one each.

On a positive note, 468 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 40,102. The recovery rate is over 89 per cent.

Active cases tally stands at 4,398.
