Itanagar: As many as 431 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 40,814.
The death toll rose to 193 as two more patients succumbed to the virus.
Of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 101, followed by East Siang 63 and Changlang 36, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.
Among the new patients, 221 are symptomatic and 210 asymptomatic.
According to the bulletin, of the fresh casualties reported, one each was reported from West Kameng and Itanagar Capital Complex. The bodies were handed over to the family members as per Covid-19 SOP.
On the other hand, 343 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 36,617.
Active cases tally stands at 4,004.
