Arunachal logs 41 more Covid cases

Itanagar: In a turnaround, Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday reported 41 more Covid19 positive cases, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 66,246, a senior health official said.

On the contrary, with 68 persons recuperating from the contagion during the past 24 hours, the state’s overall tally of recoveries rose to 65,655, State Surveillance Officer-IDSP Dr. Lobsang Jampa said.

With this, Arunachal’s active caseload plummeted to 295, he said. The day’s positivity rate was 12.69 percent against the previous day’s 8.33 percent.

Of the new cases, nine were detected in Namsai and six in Leparada. Itanagar Capital Complex contracted five cases, while four came from Upper Siang and three each from Lower Subansiri and West Kameng.

Of the total cases, 13 were found to be asymptomatic and 28 symptomatic. The Northeastern state had collected 323 samples for Covid19 testing during the last 24 hours which took the cumulative figure to 12,85,689. The state’s Covid toll remained at 296, the officer said.
