Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has reported 19 fresh Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours raising its tally of confirmed cases to 54,900, a senior health official said on Monday.
Among the new cases, the West Kameng district reported 11 infections. Itanagar Capital Complex recorded seven cases and Namsai one. Eighteen of the cases were asymptomatic while only one was symptomatic.
On the other hand, 38 people across the state recovered from the virus in the same period. With this, the state’s active caseload dropped to 266, while the total number of recoveries mounted to 54,354, the official said.
The recovery rate has improved to 99 per cent.
So far, 280 persons have succumbed to Covid-19 in the state.
Meanwhile, 609 people were administered the Covid vaccine doses on Sunday that took Arunachal’s vaccination coverage under the nationwide inoculation drive to 12.35 lakh, the official said.
