Arunachal IGP (L&O) selected for President’s Police Medal

The top cop has been selected for the award along with 86 other officials from across the country. They will be conferred with the medal at a special ceremony.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order, Chukhu Apa has been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2022.

The top cop has been selected for the award along with 86 other officials from across the country. They will be conferred with the medal at a special ceremony.

Another police officer from Arunachal, Lobsang Dawa, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Investigation Cell, Civil Secretariat, Itanagar has been chosen for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

As soon as the announcement was made, the Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) extended its congratulations and best wishes to both the officers.

Taking to Twitter, the Arunachal Pradesh Police wrote: “Chukhu Apa, IPS, IGP (L&O) has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service – 2022. Congratulations to this stalwart of APP, on getting this huge honour!”

In another tweet, the APP said, “Lobsang Dawa, DySP, SIC has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service – 2022. Congratulations, and best wishes.”
