Arunachal finds one more COVID-19 case

The fresh COVID-19 case, confirmed through rapid antigen test, was detected in Itanagar Capital Complex, which turned out to be symptomatic.

Itanagar: One more individual has tested positive for Coronavirus infection in Arunachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours that pushed the hilly state’s tally of confirmed cases to 55,314, a senior health official said.

The fresh COVID-19 case, confirmed through rapid antigen test, was detected in Itanagar Capital Complex, which turned out to be symptomatic. 

On the other hand, two persons have recuperated from the ailment in the period, taking the total number of recoveries to 55,000, he said.

Arunachal Pradesh currently has 34 active virus cases, of whom six are getting medical treatment at different health facilities and 28 recuperating under home isolation.

The state has, till date, recorded 280 fatalities due to COVID-19 related complications.

Arunachal has so far administered 14.42 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses to its adult population under the nationwide vaccination campaign. 

About 8.06 lakh beneficiaries have taken the first dose of the vaccine, while 6.36 lakh people were fully inoculated, the state immunization officer Dr D Padung said.
