Arunachal continues to witness spike in Covid-19 cases, tally rises to 20,165

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness a spike in Covid-19 cases with the detection of 119 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 20,165.

On the other hand, 188 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 18,172. The recovery rate is over 90 per cent. Active cases stood at 1933. Sixty fatalities recorded so far.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of the new Covid-19 cases, the highest was reported from Itanagar Capital Complex at 68, followed by Changlang 13, Lower Dibang Valley and Papum Pare eight each, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Seven cases were also reported from Tawang, five from Lohit, three each from Lower Subansiri and Namsai, Anjaw two, West Kameng and Dibang Valley one each.

As per the bulletin, barring 40, all the patients are asymptomatic.
