Arunachal continues to see more recoveries than daily virus cases

The new COVID positive cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and Tawang. Both the cases confirmed through rapid antigen tests were found to be asymptomatic. With the addition of new cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases increased to 55,257.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh continues to witness the single-day COVID-19 recoveries exceeding the daily cases as the hilly state recorded two fresh cases while four persons were cured of the disease during the past 24 hours, a senior health official said.

The new COVID positive cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and Tawang. Both the cases confirmed through rapid antigen tests were found to be asymptomatic. With the addition of new cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases increased to 55,257.

So far, 54,943 people have recovered from the infection. The recovery rate stood at 99.43 per cent. 280 persons in the state have thus far succumbed to COVID-19.

On the inoculation front, more than 4,000 people have received COVID-19 vaccine doses during the last 24 hours that took the state’s cumulative vaccination coverage to over 13.95 lakh. At least 79 per cent of the state’s adult population have been administered the first dose of the vaccine so far and 60 per cent were fully vaccinated, the official informed.
