Arms, ammunition recovered in Churachandpur operations

Imphal: A combined team of Manipur police and Assam Rifles carried out a joint cordon and search operation on Wednesday and recovered three Single Barrel 12 mm Bore Rifle, one 9 mm Carbine Machine Gun with magazine, one Tear Gas Gun, one Lathode Gun, ammunition and war like stores. 

In a similar intelligence-based joint operation, in general area M Phaimol in Churachandpur District on April 17, 2024 Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered one .303 Rifle, four 12 mm Single Barrel Rifles, two Improvised Heavy Mortars, ammunition and other war-like stores. 

The seized items in both operations have been handed over to Manipur Police, according to a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
